Kiro Crew started as an internal project called MeshClaw at Amazon and quickly grew to over 39,000 developers and hundreds of contributors in less then 6 month. An amazing community was built around it, and we wanted to make it public for everyone. Kiro Crew is an open source development workspace that you can run locally or remotely. Connect via Discord, Telegram or other channels and work with your crew from anywhere.

Congrats on the launch @kylesaman ! "Come back to progress instead of a cold start" is such a good way to name the tax nobody talks about, half my mornings with AI tools are still re-briefing yesterday's version of me.

Love the idea of spec-driven AI development. Kiro feels different from typical AI code editors because it adds structure and planning, which is exactly what’s needed to move from prototype to production. The “agentic development” angle is strong since it focuses on workflows, not just code autocomplete. Would be interesting to see how it handles requirement changes and keeps specs + code consistently aligned.
