Hi PH family! Big thanks to Andrew for the hunt. Julia and I set out to make a fun tool for casual video creators, and we ended up with the stop motion video maker. You can upload any clip you want (or even paste a link) and then the tool with convert it to a stop motion video! It makes for some awesome GIFs :) Hope you enjoy and let us know if you have any feedback! Happy creating! 🐱 Eric
@realericlu This is so cool! Can't wait to make some for @hustlecrewlive social channels 💖
Congratulations @realericlu - you guys are on a roll with so many different features rolling out. I am looking forward to testing this out properly. Is there a good length of video that you recommend as a starting point so it does not take too much time to create the stop-motion video? I noticed with one I tried with it said the video was too long?
@realericlu or @juliaenthoven Is there a good length of video that you recommend as a starting point so it does not take too much time to create the stop-motion video? I noticed with one I tried with it said the video was too long? I am writing an article about the stop-motion effect so wanted to know for that - thanks

@krishnade hey Krishna sorry for the delayed response - we tried lots of different kinds of movie lengths. It's cool both to make long videos much shorter (like baking or construction video) and to slow down short videos (like a sports highlight). People have made really cool videos out of action clips, like a person dancing or two people interacting. Thanks for covering it!!
@juliaenthoven Thanks - don't think you understood my question so sorry if I was not clear. I tried to use a link from YT to a video that was 40 minutes long - a live stream and was planning to use your platform to create a short video as a promo - but the link said the video was too long. So my question is what is the max length of the original video either uploaded or a link?
love it. I actually had the same idea before Instagram launched the Stop-motion feature in Stories haha :D btw, how is this different?

@akimovnv Thanks for checking it out! Kapwing lets people use any video they've filmed in the past rather than constraining to the Instagram camera, and Kapwing is a website that works from mobile and desktop whereas Instagram is native only.
@juliaenthoven sounds good! anyway, great idea guys!
I just read about Kapwing on IndieHackers a few days ago and I think it's about time I bookmark it alongside Giphy :) Very nice set of tools, keep it up!

@oliver_gaspar1 Thanks so much for checking it out! Kapwing is still small haha but growing little by little - definitely be on the lookout for more launches ahead 😸
