Hey everyone,
In our mission to make building software simple and fast, now especially for non-coders.
One thing we kept noticing is that non coders rarely start from scratch. They start with references.
“Something like this website.”
“Something that looks like this image.”
So we asked ourselves, why not make that the starting point?
With this update to JDoodle.ai, you can
clone a website design by pasting a URL
design from an image or screenshot, or
start from a template and then build on top of it.
Just a faster, simpler way to get something editable and ready to launch.
This one is especially for non-coders, business owners, solo founders, and builders who want to improve or iterate on something that already exists.
We would love to hear how you usually start building and what would make vibe coding even simpler for you.

Good product 😀

This matches how people actually build. Almost no one starts from a blank canvas — references are always the first step. Cloning from a URL or Figma as a starting point feels way more natural for non-coders, especially when iteration matters more than perfection.
How well it handles messy, real-world sites vs polished templates.
JDoodle.ai
@allinonetools_net Thanks Bhavin. It basically recreates the site to clean up the mess. Also, improves the design as the whole purpose of cloning is to build a better version.
Congrats on the launch — love how JDoodle.ai makes full‑stack app building truly accessible for non‑coders.

@zeiki_yu Thanks Zeiki.
Can I copy different elements? For example, if I give a link and tell the AI: I want to copy colors, fonts, heading sizes — does it work like that?
JDoodle.ai
@mykyta_semenov_ yes, you can upload a screenshot or share the link with the AI and ask it to use the color, fonts, etc
This makes a lot of sense, starting from references mirrors how people actually think instead of forcing them into a blank canvas.
One thing I found interesting from a user perspective is the decision moment before pasting a URL or image. I imagine some first time users might wonder how close their reference needs to be or whether the output will be flexible enough to iterate on.
Curious if you’ve noticed any patterns there during early usage or feedback. This is a really thoughtful direction.

@omorogieva_joy thanks for that interesting point of view. we see the cloning as more of a starting reference. May be we need to communicate it better when the user cloning.
Nice idea, but don't sure about ethical side of cloning someone else work...
It can be problems with copyrights too
JDoodle.ai
@nikensm Hi Nikita, it's not about copying others' work. This will be useful if you have an old site and want to build a new, modern one from it, or you like some design and want to build something inspired by it.
