Hey everyone 👋 Quick story: I used to freelance and my invoices were... embarrassing. I'd send a Word doc, the client would open it, formatting would break, and suddenly I looked like I had no idea what I was doing. Worse? When invoices look cheap, clients treat them that way. They negotiate harder. They "forget" to pay on time. I started calling this the "Amateur Tax" — the invisible cost of not looking professional. So I built InvoiceDeck. Nothing fancy. Just a fast way to create invoices that look like they came from a real business. What I'm proud of: - You don't start with a blank page (there's demo data so you know where everything goes) - 60 seconds to your first invoice — I timed it - $3/month for Pro because I hate expensive software Would love your honest feedback. What's missing? What would make you actually use this? Thanks for checking it out 🙏

@theamateur_tax hey there, congrats on the launch! I read through InvoiceDeck’s privacy policy and really liked how clearly you distinguish between guest users (local-only data) and account holders. That’s done better than in most apps.

Just as a heads-up: some of the GDPR-required pieces (legal bases, user rights, controller details) aren’t spelled out yet, which can be risky as soon as EU users are involved.

I’m working on tools to help founders fill exactly those gaps without rewriting everything. Happy to share notes if useful.

@natalija_kerstein Hey Natalija!

Wow, thank you so much for the kind words and for catching that privacy policy gap! You're absolutely right—I missed those specific GDPR details.

I definitely want to protect my EU users properly, so I've just updated the privacy policy to include the legal bases, user rights, and controller details as you suggested.

If you have a moment, I’d be super grateful if you could take a quick look and let me know if I’m on the right track or if there's anything else I should tighten up.

Really appreciate you looking out for fellow founders. Would love to hear more about the tools you're building too!
