Hey Product Hunt!👋

I’m RAKA, creator of Immerziva.

I love fiction, but reading always felt emotionally flat compared to movies and games. So I built Immerziva: a way to turn reading into a cinematic experience using adaptive audio.

Authors can add ambient sounds, soundtracks, and effects to their stories — and the audio syncs dynamically with each reader’s pace.

Why people are using it:
– Audio adapts to your reading speed
– Authors don’t need any technical setup
– Works on any device, no app required
– Free for readers and authors

Immerziva is now fully live with a growing catalog of stories.

I’d love your thoughts:

– Does audio enhance or distract your reading experience?
– In which genres do you think this works best?

Inventtu

@_raka This is a really interesting idea.
How do you make sure the audio enhances the story instead of distracting from the reading itself?

RAKA

@inventtu Great question, that was our biggest concern from day one.

We treat audio as an atmospheric layer, not as the main content. It’s subtle, adaptive, and never forces timing on the reader.

The audio reacts to reading behavior in real time, so it follows the reader instead of pulling attention away. And everything is fully optional, readers can adjust volume, mute layers, or read in silence anytime.

Curious to hear your take: when you read, do you usually prefer silence or some kind of background sound?

@_raka really love this idea! as someone who loves to read books but don't have the time and hate audio books for this one reason - its too boring to hear them! But really curious if this is like a wrapper on any book we have locally or we need to import the pdf into the app. Just wanted to know how this works real time? Thx and congrats on the launch.

@_raka I'm so intrigued and can imagine the possibilities. Short works seem well suited for this, fanfic, even blogs.

Inventtu

Interesting concept. I’ve never seen reading + audio done this way before.

RAKA

@inventtu Thanks! That’s exactly what we were exploring, keeping reading at the center while adding emotional depth through audio.

I love this idea. But I am just wondering how do you prevent interference of reading experience unexpectedly?

Dakota Burrow
This sounds really cool. Does the text have to be brought into the platform or can it be used while I'm reading something on Kindle for example?
RAKA

@dakota_burrow Thanks! Right now, the stories need to be published directly on Immerziva so the audio layers can sync with the text.

It’s designed to work with any device that can access the platform, you don’t need a special app, just a browser. Kindle or other ebook readers aren’t supported yet, but we’re thinking a lot about ways to expand access in the future.

I am a huge fan of reading, and I am also a huge fan of audio books. Have you thought about allowing people to connect to their audible library, or something similar vs having to host books within your platform?
