TL;DR: Superpowerful and versatile hub for storing and sharing passwords and other sensitive information.
Hypervault lets you store all information in the way that best fits your work. Team is solid and has been around for years.
Powerful structure: You get total freedom to create the structure that works best for you. You can group all your data in many layers that make sense: per workspace you can use up to 10 zones, each zone has unlimited folders, each folder can hold subfolders up to 5 levels deep.
Permission/client access: It has a powerful permisions setup, where you set permissions on each level (workspace, zone, folder, subfolder). It lets you add team members, or you can invite clients/guests. But it also lets you revoke access later on, just as easy.
Custom fields, groups and templates: You can store your data in any possible way. It has all the normal input fields you'd expect, and you can add custom fields with different data types, and give them a custom label and if you want you can group them into custom groups. That is great for one-offs. But you can just as well create your own custom entry templates and have that available with one click. Hypervault does not box you in. It lets you store information in the way that suits your workflow best.
UI/UX: is good overall. It looks clean and spartanic in a good way. It could use a little polish here or there but overall it is great.
Chrome extension: the extension is a no fluff integration with auto-fill. When you use a password that is not yet stored in Hypervault, it auto-suggest adding it and lets you store the info in the correct folder in a few clicks. It works great and is a huge time saver.
Privacy: privacy first design and your data gets stored within the EU data zone and under GDPR rules.
Reliable: It is rock solid and as far as I've seen it has a 100% or near 100% uptime. I was one of their first users and in all these years, it just always works.
Team: The team behind Hypervault has been working on Hypervault for over 5 years, steadily improving it over time.
I never really needed any support as the tool just works. But my impression is they are hardworking devs grinding away.
In summary:
Hypervault has come a long way in these years and today it is a mature powerful workhorse which does about everything you could need and allows you to use it how you want to use it.
I am not affiliated with the team. They only notified me that they were on ProductHunt today. But I feel they just deserve the praise for how good the tool is and how far they have come.
