Hoody offers true privacy out of the box and solves the VPN limitations, through an encrypted network, a powerful webapp and features like browsing containers, per-app VPN and bulletproof location mode.

Hey Nick, Hoody sounds impressive, especially with the browsing containers and per-app VPN features. How does the Bulletproof Mode work in terms of ensuring anonymity? Congrats on the launch!
Hoody
@kyrylosilin In a very short summary: Imagine that your IP changes constantly (with every tab and every request made). You can use this mode on a specific app, your whole OS, with Wireguard, with SOCKS5, or for specific browsers. When browsing a website with Bulletproof mode (as a VPN or Proxy), the website's resources will be loaded through many different locations, and the next tab you open will automatically have a different IP as well. Keep in mind that your ISP is not aware of this change; your ISP only sees one IP, which is the encrypted connection to Hoody Relay. If you use Bulletproof mode with our browsing containers, not only does your IP change all the time, but your fingerprints change as well, making it extremely difficult for anyone to identify who you truly are. Check out our YouTube video if you want to see it in action:
Thank you for the question! It's very much appreciated.

Congratulations on the launch! Happy to see so many privacy-oriented features. Is it available for both Mac and Windows? Or is this a Chrome extension that works on any platform? Thanks!
Hoody
@semanser Thanks for the question. Hoody is not an extension, it's a comprehensive suite of Privacy tools and features. Bulletproof Mode is compatible with ALL PLATFORMS, via our Wireguard VPNs and SOCKS5 proxies. We've developed a powerful web-based Dashboard from where users from any platform can manage their features and products. New features such as anonymous email aliases and anonymous mobile numbers will soon be added to the Dashboard. Browsing containers and Per-app VPN are currently available on the Webapp for Windows. We have also released the Hoody Proxy Manager extension on Chromium-based browsers and Firefox, to manage our SOCKS5 proxies and that also works on any platform.

Glad to see you guys finally launched on ProductHunt! I have been using Hoody personally for a little while (got the beta promo) and by far the best feature is the fact that you can assign a different location for each app installed. When I want some decent privacy on some apps, I just set Hoody Bulletproof Proxy on top, fyi, for the ones that don't understand what it does, it literally change your IP every second or so, it's extremely powerful and it's fast.
I prefer to stay anon.
this is seriously awesome especially that you guys don't even ask for an email to signup, I knew all that was possible on Linux if you are extremely skilled with firewall rules, using namespace, buying your own proxies, using Tor for specific apps and such... but you guys made one of the most relevant privacy tool of 2024 compatible with Windows and it's super simple to use, this is REALLY incredible. PS: I have messaged the support as I've noticed that the Web app closes sometimes abruptly and self-restart, it doesn't disconnect the proxies or vpn or anything so it still 100% secure so it's no big deal, I've messaged your support on that with the details, it's not really important and I completely understand you guys are in BETA!

Hi, great app. Could you use a bulletproof mode but with a fixed gate for one of the apps?
Hoody
@hr6134 Hi there! Thanks for the great question. Here are the current possibilities of the Per-App VPN mode during BETA: 1. Lock an app to a specific location (e.g. uTorrent to the Netherlands, Steam to the US, Opera to the UK, etc.) 2. Enable Bulletproof mode for an app to constantly change its Exit IP. 3. Set your own SOCKS5 Proxy for an app, with the added benefit of Hoody Relays for encryption and IP protection, even with untrusted proxies. 4. Bypass the global VPN for an app using your own IP, which works in real-time for running apps, unlike traditional split-tunneling that forces you to run the App via a specific program. 5. You can also entirely BLOCK the traffic of a certain App (think of it as an aggressive firewall). Let me know if you have any other questions!
