I’m very excited to launch our free mobile app here on PH as we celebrate Earth Day together! 🌎 GreenChoice helps you find the best food products for you and the environment (without ever leaving your house)! 🛒🌱🚀 I grew up in rural Vermont, lucky to have parents who prioritized eating healthily and sustainably. While there are many more options to choose from today, the paradox of choice can overwhelm the best of us. A few years ago, I got fed up with how difficult it was for me to identify which products among the thousands of options at the grocery store aligned with my dietary restrictions and personal values ~ think the cereal or energy bar aisles 🤯. When I searched online, it only got harder to filter through the noise. Comparing nutrition labels, fact-checking claims, avoiding harmful ingredients, and reducing our carbon footprint - it’s too much for any of us. GreenChoice does the heavy lifting to help you find the best options available to you! Hey Product Hunters! I’m Makayla — the Principal Dietitian at GreenChoice 🌱 I just joined the GreenChoice team ~2 months ago. For me, the decision to help on this project was a no brainer. I’ve worked in many different areas in the nutrition field — from clinical nutrition, to foodservice management, retail nutrition, and more. Along with GreenChoice, I currently write for Healthline Media, teach at the local college, and see clients through private practice. If these experiences have taught me anything, it’s that there are always barriers for anyone trying to make healthy and sustainable food choices — whether that be time, finances, or simply confusion about what choices to make. GreenChoice breaks down all of these barriers, making healthy, sustainable, and affordable food choices easy. This is true even if you have food allergies, sensitivities, or have specific dietary preferences, such as vegan or vegetarian.
