Glass Enterprise Edition 2 is built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 platform, which features a significantly more powerful multicore CPU (central processing unit) and a new artificial intelligence engine.
We still haven't seen consumer-focused AR really take off yet and Google Glass was way ahead of its time. Even in 2017, it was reported that Snap had thousands of unsold Spectacles units sitting in warehouses. It's nice to see Google meeting the growing demands of a market actually in need of AR headsets β the workplace.
Much prefer the design of this iteration and I like the route Google is going down with this, diverting from basic consumer use and instead focusing on making our jobs easier.
