What do you think? …

I don't get it. How is this different from just screen sharing or watching a live stream? What would I gain from using this?

@lukestacey85 When you spin up a Giggl portal, you are given your own virtual web browser you can invite anyone to, and allow anyone to control. You can do anything you can do in a regular web browser, like watch movies or shows, browse Reddit, look through Medium articles, etc... This could be used for things such as movie nights, group tuition with students, or just having fun with your friends. We run on Google Cloud so our internet speeds are exceptionally faster than the average user's internet, and we only require a 3MBPS download speed to work, so you can browse in high-speed, even if your own connection is poor.

@slayter Ah interesting, so is there some sort of compression that you guys are doing on-the-fly on your own servers before it hits the users? Or are you guys a proxy (at the network level, if we strip out the other features)? Because if it's the latter I don't see how you get high-speed browsing over a poor connection. (I'd try to verify for myself but I can't seem to register :()

I liked it. It needs more traction tho
Michał
I can see this being very useful

Oh this could be a HUGE game changer if it gains traction. I'm sold

Love this, will be sure to use it next time we have a family zoom meeting!

Nice! How many can watch a movie for example at the same time? :)
Oliver Reason
@swebliss1 We currently allow 8 people in a portal at once!

Seems like a great way to build together remotely.
