Every year I do a Secret Santa with family. It's always a bit of a hassle to do and I've never liked the options online to put ones together. They feel creepy, like they're taking my data. A few years back, I built out an app in Figma (because I do a lot of UI/UX work professionally in Figma and I guess for fun, too). Then I forgot about it. Then, this week a family member asked about Secret Santa, and I remembered that design I had made, and suddenly I was deep in the rabbit hole. This app is the result of the rabbit hole. It's my first app with a database on the backend.
