Daddy Issues uses AI to help dads think ahead before family life turns into last-minute stress. Each week, it connects your kids, calendar, responsibilities and tasks to surface what’s coming up, what you might be missing, and what’s worth handling now. Less reacting, fewer reminders, fewer small fights — and more “I’m already on it.”

Hey Dads 👋
I built Daddy Issues because I kept noticing the same thing in our family:
My wife somehow seemed to know what was coming up. What the kids would need. What we should start thinking about now so it wouldn’t become stressful later.
I wanted to do that too.
I’m an involved dad, but I found thinking ahead surprisingly hard. I’d remember the obvious things, but miss the small connections around them and end up reacting once something was already on the table.
That created friction.
I didn’t want to be the person saying, “Just tell me what needs doing.” I wanted to already know and take more of that mental load on myself. So I built Daddy Issues.
It gives dads a weekly family briefing that connects things like your kids, calendar, responsibilities and previous tasks to surface what you might otherwise only realize later.
It’s not about being perfectly organized. It’s about anticipating a little earlier, taking more ownership, and hopefully avoiding some unnecessary arguments along the way.
It’s completely free for now, and I’m genuinely curious whether this is useful to other dads too. I’d love to hear what it gets right, what it misses, or what you’d change. ❤️
@hannes_krengel1, you described the way I feel exactly. LOVE THIS and am already testing.
Question: any plans for a WhatsApp integration? I think I'm missing a lot of context or detail because I can't deal with the overwhelming number of messages in my school/class/hobby WhatsApp groups...
Thank you @knolladrian ! I you mean an integration, so that Daddy Issues can include topics discussed on whatsapp in the weekly briefings? Or what exactly are you thinking? Really curious to hear all these great ideas and areas where Daddy Issues could help 😍
@hannes_krengel1 Yes, that's the case I had in mind. Plugging in WhatsApp (maybe picking specific chats and groups) that are usually heavy on family logistics (partner chat, school groups, etc, to add topics to the weekly briefings. It'll find everything that's been discussed and didn't make it to the calendar yet. So not just the "will be", but also the "should be...?)
@knolladrian that is a fantastic idea and you just made it on my backlog :D I'll definitely look into that 😍
@manuel_cassens thank you so much!!! Hope you get many useful briefings
@hannes_krengel1 Bro this is a really useful idea for dads who want to stay organize and avoid unnecessary stress at home
Do you have something similar for mothers? :D
Hey @busmark_w_nika
I'm glad you ask. My wife was also always asking "why do you only build this for dads?"
Well, from all my conversations I had, dads were struggling the most, but DaddyIssues also works just as well for Moms actually. Give it a try and let me know if you get some helpful results :)
Best

@busmark_w_nika @hannes_krengel1 I really wanted not to, but I couldn't resist.
Moms should be allowed to have Daddy issues too 😂
(Please do not report this comment... 🫣)
@busmark_w_nika ha ha haaaa its controversial topic
Love this. Going to try it. I've been using Instinct and it recommends "Dad" sort of things and tasks, but it's not quite aimed at this need. Do you already have holidays and birthday notifications/brainstorming in place... with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up? Thanks,
@kevan_ho thanks for the feedback and ideas. Holidays should be taken into account and birthdays of course if you went through the onboarding the app will know. By connecting your google calender it will also react and contextualise birthdays coming up :) looking forward to hearing more feedback soon ❤️
Must needed product for new dads.
Do you have any idea to make one product like this for new husbands too😅?
@jitendra_bhatt haha thanks for the ideas 😅
Haha crazy product for new dads, gotta a lot of founder dads in my circle, gonna share this with them
Hey @chandrashekran_y ,
you're the real MVP! Thank you for your support and let me know if you get any feedback from your circle. ❤️
My husband literally said "shut up and take my money!" 😆
haha glad to see I'm not the only one struggling @alieksia
Let me know if the briefing is helping him as much as it helps me every week.
@hannes_krengel1 Sure, we'll try it and let you know
You're description is wya too accurate on what I'm dealing with. Excited to try.
@stefankalb glad we have something in common :D let me know what you think of your first briefing
