Crew helps you organize your money and stick to your budget with the most powerful bank account. Spend directly from your budget with pockets, program your money, and help your money grow faster.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
Crew is the banking experience we’ve always wanted but couldn’t find with the legacy banks.
Today we’re launching budgeting inside of Crew. These updates make it easy to set up and stick to a budget, because the budget lives inside your bank account:
✉️ Organize your money into pockets
⚡ Split your paycheck automatically
💳 Spend directly from your budget with a single card
That way you can stick to your budget without all the drama.
This is all built into an already powerful high-yield checking account:
📈 Earn 3.7% annual percentage yield (9x the national savings rate)
✨ Program your bank account with transfer/notification/webhook actions
💸 Free wire transfers if you have more than $50k in deposits
👪 Full family support with joint owners, child accounts, and allowance automation
All of this without a subscription or fees.
We’d love to hear your feedback! What do you wish your bank account could do?

Love it! What makes budgeting within the bank account different from a dedicated budgeting app or other service?
@scottew Great question
With budgeting apps, you're creating budgets for a representation of your money. You then have to hope you can stick to that budget outside of the app where you set it up. There's no controls or anything actually helping you keep your budget.
When you set up budgets in Crew, you're budgeting your actual money. You can then create powerful automations to help you stick to that budget (decline transactions over limits, automatically split incoming money between pockets, etc).
Have been a fan of crew from the beginning! The speed at which they ship new features is incredible - my entire family loves using crew!!!
@katrina_kennedy 🙏🙏🙏
Love having your family on board.

@scott_evanson Love to hear it!! ❤️
Love this! Finally something built for families. How do timing and approvals work on wire transfers?
@tannerhp wire transfers sent before 4 PM ETA usually arrive same day! Thanks sir :)
This is great! I still miss the experience from Simple. Do you have any recommendations on when and how to start using Crew with kids? My daughter is still young enough that money makes a lot more sense to her when we give her physical currency, but it would definitely be easier for me if we could just use electronic transfers instead, and it would be nice to let her earn interest too. When would you recommend transitioning a child to a bank account?
@dnsbty great question, cash is easiest to visualize and it makes a ton of sense to start there. It's also critical to make the digital currency feel reel sooner than later, since that's the world they'll live in. I like a hybrid approach in the early years, where there's cash but you deposit it for safekeeping. And then transition to primarily digital over time.
This is really cool. Does link to other banks? For example, I want to track my IRAs to get a full picture of finances. Other credit cards to track individual purchases?
Would switch from Monarch immediately if so.
If not, is that how you see the future, or are you opinionated on the closed ecosystem approach so you get that "it just works" effect from the beginning?
@brice_douglas great question. There are tons of great PFM options out there (origin, monarch, copilot etc). Not sure the world needs more of that.
We're eager to replace and consolidate your full finance stack. Hope to launch a charge card that lets you spend directly from your budget and brokerage accounts to automate your finances all the way through!
