Costeo started with a simple but uncomfortable question: “How much should I really charge for this?”

My wife is an artist. She paints, frames her own artwork, and began selling not only paintings but also framing services and decorative products. Pricing quickly became the hardest part of the business.

Like many creatives, her first solution was a complex Excel spreadsheet with macros, sold to her as a “professional pricing system”. It technically worked, but it made everything harder: updating costs was painful, margins were unclear, and pricing still felt like guesswork.

I built a small internal tool for her, focusing only on real costs and margins, without the need for spreadsheets or accounting complexity. Other artists saw it, asked for it, and I realized this wasn’t an isolated problem.

With 20 years of experience building software, I decided to turn that core into Costeo, a simple way to price products and services, and generate quotes with clarity.

One deliberate decision: Costeo is a one-time purchase.

This isn’t a daily tool; it’s a decision-making tool. Subscriptions didn’t feel aligned with how people actually use it.

Costeo is live, used by real users, multi-language, and built for people who want confidence in their pricing, not more spreadsheets or recurring fees.
