Sam Crombie
Hey all! Seth & Sam here from College Compendium. We are two university students who owe a lot of our computer science education to a collection of disjoint, online resources we've only discovered after tirelessly searching through forums, education platforms, and course webpages. For anyone who isn't an overcaffeinated college student, however, this endless pursuit of high-quality CS course curriculums is not sustainable, nor is it an efficient way of organizing all that the internet has to offer! So we decided to solve this problem with College Compendium, an open source collection of 650+ university CS courses for builders, hackers, data enthusiasts, creatives, first-time coders, and anyone in between. Spend your time learning, not digging for content! A few things you can do on our site: - Search and filter courses by topic, university, year, curriculum type, and education level. (Play around and see if there is another approach to search!)) - Toggle between grid and table views to adjust how you view data. (For power users, the raw CSV/Excel/JSON is available on our GitHub). - Contribute to the project directly through our site or on our GitHub. We're happy to answer any questions, and would love feedback on the site's navigation, course offerings, and usability! This is Seth and I's first collaboration. How did we do?

@samuel_crombie what's the link to the GitHub?
Sam Crombie
@shanonnnwal Hi Shanon, I apologize for missing your message. You can find the GitHub here: https://github.com/GoldinGuy/Col....

@new_user_13594140d1 Thank you, Tommy!
Allyson Horn
Do you support introductory courses? How do I filter for beginner classes? And great product!
Sam Crombie
@allyson_horn Hi Allyson, yes! We have classes ranging from introductory courses all the way to advanced graduate courses! In the search bar, make sure to type "intro" or "introductory" as a separate word when searching for a language, school, or topic. This will help you narrow down to intro courses.
Allyson Horn
@samuel_crombie Thanks again! I’m going to work on one of the photography dec classes.
Saurabh Sharma
It's an awesome project! This will definitely supplement my coursework.
Sam Crombie
@esskayesss Thank you, Saurabh. Are there any courses in particular you are excited to check out?
Saurabh Sharma
@samuel_crombie I'll start with Stanford CS143: Compilers
Sam Crombie
@esskayesss Great choice!
Jan Ahrend
Thank you for sharing. Is the intention that one can access the courses content (slides or recordings)? I clicked on a few courses but couldn’t find the learning material. Am I missing something?
Sam Crombie
@janahrend Hi Jan, thank you for checking it out. The intention is to be able to access varying levels of course content - some pages have written notes, some have slides, video lectures, or just reading materials. If you come across any courses that do not have anything listing above, it's possible they were removed (so please let us know if this is the case).
Tawina
so are we finally ready to pose a competition to universities?
Sam Crombie
@tweeteratus Maybe! Or a partnership ;).

UI looks great!! I'll definitely be using this to supplement my coursework, the ability to search through all of these classes will be very helpful in providing me with extra reference and study material.
Sam Crombie
@dylandalal Thank you for your feedback, Dylan!
