@carlosxcl What gave you the idea to make this game?
@jakecrump I attended Makers Academy (a coding bootcamp) and saw the opportunity there was for a game like this. There was a 10x acceleration in learning when you got people together to just talk about coding concepts around a table for 15 minutes. If you can create that excuse and wrap it around an education game that can be fun, I thought that would be pretty powerful. On the other hand looking at a screen for 10 hours a day also made me want a nice deck of flash cards I could use alone :) Note, you still have to work really hard, alone, with your computer for days to get anywhere decent. And code cards wonโ€™t help you at all if you donโ€™t do that. But itโ€™s a nice compliment to traditional learning paths.
@carlosxcl UPDATE: The final limited run of our original Code Cards was all sold out on March 2016. You can now print & distribute them for free under a creative commons license. PRINT THEM FOR FREE:
@carlosxcl Love the idea! Do you ship outside ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ?
@triplejberger Thanks! Only US and Canada for now. International shipping is too expensive without distributors around the world. I am thinking of releasing a free print & play version sometime in the near future as a workaround to this - plus I know a lot of schools that would benefit from it.
@carlosxcl that would be great! ๐Ÿ™Œ
@carlosxcl I'll be happy to help with distribution (and maybe production, too) in Europe.
when will world wide shipping be available?
This is so awesome! Proving to people that they can learn to program is so crucial, and I think this a is great way to get started.
