    Pros:

    Excellent video recording

    Quick access overlay! <3

    Window screenshots

    Cons:

No auto upload to share (yet!)

You may not be recording videos now, but when you get CleanShot, you just love to tweet your screen videos or share with co-workers! A voice over could be cool later, although that'd make it similar to Loom app.

Forgot to mention, quick access overlay (like one in iOS for screenshots) is time saver every single time!

    Pros:

    Simple and useful.

    Cons:

    None.

I beta tested this app and I really appreciate how Luke and Paweł created this product. It's not just a screenshot function it's a great tool to make captures and a UI example to follow.

    Pros:

One click less than the Windows alternative.

    Cons:

    Mac Only.

For Windows users, you can do this installing two apps. Fences for Windows and and Lightshot (which btw to me is the best screenshot software out there).

  • Pros:

Combine a function - cleaning your desktop

    Cons:

    Nothing is amazing.

For a screenshot function, this app is too simple, and lots of app are better than this one. Combining a function - cleaning your desktop, is the only one thing which is better than others.

    Pros:

UI (video) looks nicely minimal and focused on unique useful features

    Cons:

Screen capture is MacOS built-in; this is competitive app space so final pricing key.

When capturing make sure you're not interrupting/popping up "stuff" that will get in the way of a succession of screen shots.

Video doesn't make clear what controls are provided for recording.

    Pros:

Great if you want to capture something and there are some sensitive files on your desktop. Also, file size of video is surprisingly small.

    Cons:

    Nothing so far.

Only thing I'd like to suggest is some sort of integration with cloudapp, droplr, dropbox so we can grab link for screenshots.

  • Pros:

Simple, fast, clean, and provides tons more value than its small cost.

    Cons:

    None

Extremely powerful and useful tool, just like PixelSnap.

    Pros:

It does what it says and produces some great looking screenshots. The iOS like overlay for saving or copying is a really nice touch.

    Cons:

No cons so far but a few more features such as auto-organizing screenshots in folders by date etc. might be useful to a lot of people.

Been beta testing this for almost over a week now and it’s everything I wished the Apple’s stock screenshot tool would be 😍

Justin JohnsonI've got a few things going on...
    Pros:

There isn't a human on earth who's desktop is as clean as they'd like it to be. No more creating a folder named "Desktop to Organize Later."

    Cons:

It's pretty simple - not really much bad you can say about it.

I'm not sure if this will replace my default screenshot capture behavior, but it is nice to have and a great idea.
