I built CapyBars as a random idea I had while working on a feature for a totally different website. I was trying to implement this speech-to-text function in my website which I randomly thought “What if I just spoke into my microphone and spit out rap bars?” My original approach was a simple “talk-to-text” feature inside of a notepad on a grocery list that was a widget inside of a grocery store directory website. The “speech/talk-to-text” feature made me pivot to what if I could do that and write a rap just by talking? Basically, I was just having fun.
