What do you think? …

Excited to be getting this out there. I have been using this myself for the last six months. With the stress of my day job I've had major issues falling asleep. After trying a bunch of things I found that listening to something distracting helped me fall asleep and started leaning on well known meditation apps, Youtube videos, etc. Unfortunately, after a couple weeks this would get repetitive and it would stop working for me, and I'd have to hunt for the next thing. CalmAlma was built around these different meditation and audio episodes that have worked for many people, but uses generative AI to learn what works for you, and then adapt the content. It always feels new, and it's always improving. I think it will be an incredible tool for finding sleep, as it has been for me.

@calmalma Congratulations on the launch, well done!

@parul_gautam Thank you. The more people I've talked to the more I've seen just how widespread sleep as a problem is becoming. Hopefully people find it helpful!

I'm glad to see the integration of AI in something that has already been proven to help people, such as meditation. Congrats on the launch! 👏
Benjamin Lee
@alex_gavril1 Thank you! That's how we see it. There is a tool for sleep and AI can help bring it to the next level.

Hey Benjamin! Your CalmAlma app sounds amazing! It's great that it keeps things fresh with generative AI. How does it learn what works for each individual?
Benjamin Lee
@goyashy We're continuing to refine and improve the algorithm but its primarily from "implicit" information on if the user quits an episode early. We also have an explicit rating but didn't want to rely on that alone.

@calmalma Just downloaded and excited to try this out! As a designer, I love the colour and overall vibe 🔥. I also have a couple of pieces of design feedback. Let me know if you'd like to hear them 🚀
Benjamin Lee
@sham_desaur Thank you for the kind words! I really enjoyed finding the right "vibe" consistent with the intent of the app. If it's not a hassle, would love to have those notes. Feel free to send a note to b3l33@calmalma.com!

@calmalma Just sent you an email. Let me know if the feedback is useful. Hope it helps and good luck on your journey!

Congrats on the launch. This looks interesting, but how does Calmalma differ from other meditation apps? I've been using a few myself for sleep meditation etc can't say they always work as it feels often generic and the standard kind of soothing music to help you fall asleep.
Benjamin Lee
@rihab_zd That has exactly been my exprience! Other apps will help me for a bit but my brain "figures out" the structure and they start to feel too repetitive. We have some "standard" meditaitons in there that are similar to what's out there for new users, but the more powerful piece is how the app learns over time from the users. When the users change/quit episodes, or when they do fall asleep, the app uses that feedback to hone in on what works well for each user individually. It also generates the meditations/docuseries/podcasts on each listen, so the content is both fresh and personalized. We've found that personalization/dynamic change in content keeps it from feeling generic / templated and so the helpfulness of the app persists over time.
Rihab Zaidi
@calmalma Aha that's cool, personalization always goes a long way. I'll give it a go!
