Despite never having built an interactive website before (I’m a full-time photographer and artist just trying to survive the high cost of living), I dove into learning Next.js and started building. The site pulls data directly from: • Bureau of Labor Statistics • Federal Reserve • Energy Information Administration Everything is automatically updated nightly, with interactive visualizations showing how prices change across different administrations and policy decisions. Some cool features to try: 1. Use the Purchasing Power Calculator to see what $20, for example, could buy you during different time periods 2. Compare prices across major political events (elections, inaugurations) 3. Explore the Policy Impact Timeline to see how decisions affected prices 4.
