When you think flashcards on your phone, you may think Quizlet. Time for a change! Buffl is a new web and iOS application designed for learning flashcards on your smartphone. You can create flashcards on the web, and sync them to your iPhone.

@samschmir Thank you so much for hunting us! We are glad you like it!

Hey y'all, I'm Raphael one of the founders of Buffl. We are really excited to be hunted :) We had the idea for Buffl because we were frustrated of existing flashcard apps. We were looking for something that is simple, let's you create flashcards easily on the computer and study them on your smartphone. Of course there are dozens of flashcard learning apps. But none of them felt right to us. So we created Buffl. Our key focus is to deliver a great UX. We built a webeditor, which let's you create flashcards in rocket-speed. We have an intuitive learning system. It's inspired by boxed learning systems but gives you the flexibility to learn at your own pace. Last but not least Buffl is (unlike others) truly mobile native. We built everything with mobile apps in mind to provide the best learning experience on the go. We hope you enjoy it and are looking forward for you feedback, Raphael Features in a nutshell: - create rich flashcards on web or mobile editor - share &collaborate on courses together - boxed learning system - sync data between devices - offline usage supported (study even without internet connection)

@rnoero great app! Any chance of export features?
Raphael NoeroMaker@rnoero · Founder @ Buffl
@dynamicstutor thank you! well never say no. but it's not in the planning/backlog at the moment. What kind of export features are you looking for? More like export to csv/pdf ? Or more like backup files? Raffi
Farayi Chambati@dynamicstutor · Dad
@rnoero more along the lines of backups. CSV would be great!
Raphael NoeroMaker@rnoero · Founder @ Buffl
@dynamicstutor Alright. I put it on our list to evaluate further.
Steve Daniel@stevedaniel · EastCoast Adopter I love social media
Hey! I noticed that before signing up the texts describing the features are in German. I gave it a try, went on your web editor to create my first set then tried it on my phone and it is very user friendly. Definitely love the fact that you can choose the number of cards you want to study! Great app for learning Good job!
Raphael NoeroMaker@rnoero · Founder @ Buffl
@stevedaniel Thanks for your feedback. Sorry for the inconvenience with German. We'll fix that shortly. We got a bit lost in a "language-string-chaos" let me know if something is unclear.

Good job! We really need more space repeatition app. 2 questions : do you plan anki deck import feature? What if you don't use the app for 1-2 weeks. Does all the card pile up ?
Raphael NoeroMaker@rnoero · Founder @ Buffl
@alantrumeau thanks for your feedback. In fact we are planing different import features. I can't tell you any details about anki in particular atm, though. Nope, cards move only, when you use the app.
Raphael NoeroMaker@rnoero · Founder @ Buffl
@alantrumeau a more sophisticated algorithm for repetition is in the making :)
