Browser Buddy is an AI buddy that curates a feed of thoughtful quotes and essays based on your interests. Ask your buddy for something practical like "how to find my first users", explore rabbit holes like "the history of the internet", or learn about "sustainable urban design" to impress your next date. Start curating your information diet today so you'll always have a feed of wonderful words to read and interesting ideas to talk about.

Finally, something to help me sound smarter on dates without spending 4 hours on obscure blogs 😂 Love this!

awesome! I love everything that helps to find great writing on the interwebs!
(I'm writing Five Things and I have been doing this for many years, but I only cover five interesting articles to read and there are so many more!)

Hey Product Hunt! We’re Arnav and Jeremy and we’re building Browser Buddy, an app that curates quotes and essays based on what you’re interested in.
We’ve always loved personal blogs, essays, and articles on the Internet. As we’ve grown up, this writing was a source of inspiration that helped us discover ideas and opportunities we didn’t even know we were looking for (ex. applying to YC because of PG’s essays).
But despite so many new creators and websites coming online, the best of the open Internet remains hard-to-find, scattered across personal sites, niche publications, and various independent publishing platforms. Outside of “social” media platforms, there’s very high friction to get into a new subject or stumble upon people who write about your interests.
We felt there should be an easier (and mobile-friendly) way to find fantastic media and curate an intentional, interesting information diet for yourself.
Browser Buddy is a feed that curates this interesting, thought-provoking writing for you from across the Internet. We’re excited for you to try it out, download from the app store here!
For any questions, shoot me an email @ jeremy@browserbuddy.com

Congratulations on the launch! Can I set up the app to send me quotes from famous people in my field? That is, for it to automatically recognize who is well-known in my area, find their quotes, verify that the quotes aren’t fake, and periodically deliver them to me?

Right now we don't have it so that you can set triggers, you're saying you would like the ability to ask for "5 new quotes from top AI researchers every day?"
Recency is something we're working hard on, if you could shoot me an email to jeremy@browserbuddy.com I can let you know when we have something like this working!
Interesting product. Curious — do people actually need another AI curation tool, or does Browser Buddy bring something truly new? How do you make sure the quotes/essays aren’t just generic AI fluff? And how do you keep the feed diverse instead of turning into another echo chamber?

"How do you make sure the quotes/essays aren’t just generic AI fluff?"
Good question, we trained our own model / curated our own dataset so that we could prioritize the highest quality essays on the Internet.
"how do you keep the feed diverse instead of turning into another echo chamber?"
In terms of feed diversity, we're still working on that problem actively. If you get the chance to try it out, let me know how we could make that better for you.
"Curious — do people actually need another AI curation tool, or does Browser Buddy bring something truly new?"
AI is already proving to be incredible at creating new things but the effect of that is there is now even more content to filter through. We think that increasingly intelligent LLMs, when orchestrated with a high-quality stream of internet writing, will need to play an important role in filtering content to best fit your needs.
