Last year, I struggled to find an AI client that truly met my needs, so I ended up building one during my spare time in class. What started as a personal project has evolved into something much bigger thanks to incredible community feedback.
AI as Workspace (AIaW) is built around one core principle: seamless cross-device experience. Whether you're on desktop, mobile, web, or native apps - your conversations sync instantly across all platforms.
🌳 Tree-based conversations: Unlike many AI clients that flatten conversations into simple message lists, AIaW preserves the branching structure (like ChatGPT web). Edit prompts, regenerate responses, explore different conversation paths - all without losing context.
âš¡ Lightweight yet powerful: Multi-workspace support, document parsing, plugin system, Artifacts, MCP integration, custom shortcuts, and more - all while keeping the experience fast and clean.
This has been a labor of love, refined through months of user feedback. I believe AI tools should adapt to how we actually think and work, not the other way around.
