A few days ago, a new AI model inspired me to do something special. I took some old black-and-white photos of my grandparents and great-grandparents and used the latest AI to re-color and animate them into short videos. When I shared these in our family WhatsApp chat, the response was overwhelmingly emotional. My aunt even called me teary eyed, referring to the animated picture of her and my late grand mother, telling me how special it was and that she would cherish it for the rest of her life. 🥲 Moments like that really show how powerful these newer GenAI models can be. That moment sparked an idea, and in just under four days, using n8n and Lovable, I built the AI-Nostalgia app. With the help of Razorpay for seamless payment integration. I swear, Iv'e never experienced pace to deploy products like this, and I've been building products for a long time. 🫠 Now, I’d love for you to experience this. I invite you to try out the AI-Nostalgia app, re-color a cherished photo of your own, and share your experience in the comments. The first image is on me, and you’ll get another one free once you log in. ❤️ I’ve kept the pricing super nominal, just to cover some basic costs. I’m working on a video engine that will allow you to create videos from your generated images very soon! I can’t wait to see what you create and hear your stories.

Love the concept and use case! I tested the same image using ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Colourise, and your tool stood out for its usability and execution. One quick note: for users in the U.S., the pricing displays in Indian Rupees (₹), which may create friction for paid conversions since many people won’t recognize or be able to easily convert the currency. I recommend detecting the user’s location and displaying pricing accordingly, or defaulting to USD if that’s simpler. Thanks for sharing your creation!

@joki Hey Joanna, thank you so much for coming back here and sharing your thoughts and feedback on the app. I really really appreciate it. :) Iv'e poured a lot of heart and soul into building it and have been looking forward to hearing from users. I totally agree with the point you made about pricing. Will have a region specific handler built into my next update. Again, thank you for appreciating my work.
