Hey everyone!

I built Profolio out of personal necessity. Being mostly self-taught with a mix of freelance work and personal projects, my actual skills never really came across on my traditional resume.

The jobs I've landed as a systems developer came through people who already knew my work, but I got completely stuck when trying to find better opportunities through normal job applications. My resume was completely ignored by recruiters.

I got really frustrated by the thought of how different my chances would be if recruiters could actually see my projects instead of just reading about them.

So I built a simple tool to transform my plain text resume into something that showcased my actual work. Some positive feedback from friends in similar situations, and a few rabbit holes later, Profolio was born.

It's currently in beta with a free tier that lets anyone try the AI enhancements. While it's still evolving, I've got a roadmap of features that will make it even more powerful for job seekers.
