I'm Amanda, founder and CEO of Redactable. We're incredibly excited to share our AI-powered redaction platform with you today!
The journey of Redactable began when I was working as a loan consultant and realized something alarming – those black boxes I was drawing over my clients' sensitive information weren't actually protecting their data. Anyone with basic technical skills could access what was underneath. This wasn't just a small oversight – it was a massive privacy and security gap affecting countless professionals handling sensitive documents.
We built Redactable to solve this problem once and for all. Our platform doesn't just visually hide information—it permanently removes sensitive data, including hidden data and metadata that most people don't even know exists. And we've made it 98% faster than traditional tools.
What I'm most proud of is that we're democratizing document redaction. Before Redactable, redaction was incredibly time-consuming or required expensive enterprise solutions. Now, professionals across legal, healthcare, finance, government, and other sectors can protect sensitive information efficiently and reliably – from any browser, without downloads or complex training.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and answer any questions about Redactable. And if you've ever struggled with document redaction, I'd be curious to learn about your experience! 🚀

💎 Pixel perfection
It's very easy to understand what problem you're solving. I also like the simplicity of the website's design. Cool!
I would wish something like this for video. E.g. when I share a screen and there is some document or data I want to "remove" form the sight. Do you plan something like this for video content?
@busmark_w_nika this is a great suggestion, thank you! Currently we only focus on PDF, and documents converted to PDF.

Love your simple, easy-to-understand value prop! Would you consider adding a pay-per-use (per document)? I only need to redact documents sporadically, so having an option to pay-per-use would be beneficial.
@smjburton Hi Scott, thanks for your response, Redactable does offer a pay-per-use option! You can redact one document at a time for $5/document (after your 3 free document trial, of course). Hope that could work for your purposes!

@morgan_thomas6 Thank you - I didn't see that mentioned on the site. That sounds perfect.
Jason here, running Operations at Redactable. I spend most days digging into our data, automating processes, and chatting with our customers hearing their document headaches – and let me tell you, nothing beats that "wow" moment when they see how our automated redaction turns hours of mind-numbing work into just a few clicks.
What people keep telling us is how our tool just make sense. We built it by really listening to those in the trenches – lawyers drowning in discovery documents, government workers facing mountains of FOIA requests (plenty of those around the Beltway!), and healthcare providers juggling patient records.
Our team doesn't just hand you software and disappear. We're right there with you during setup, like good neighbors. Switching tools can be a pain, especially when you're handling sensitive stuff, so we'll make sure your team gets comfortable quickly and starts saving time from day one.
I'd genuinely love to hear what you think as you try Redactable. Your feedback shapes what we build next – some of our best features came from casual conversations with users just sharing their wish list.
If you want to grab some one-on-one time to see how Redactable fits your specific needs, just book a personal demo.
I’m Boris - Growth at Redactable. Our users often tell us how they struggled before finding us—spending hours manually blacking out text, only to discover the sensitive data was still accessible beneath those black boxes. Even worse, hidden metadata kept exposing their clients' information.
What drives us is making proper data protection accessible to everyone. We've built Redactable to slash redaction time by 98% compared to the old-school methods, and we've made it super easy to keep track of what's been redacted with a clean paper trail that keeps auditors happy.
When users tell us they've transformed multi-day redaction projects into minutes while eliminating data exposure risks, we know we're solving a real problem. If you're handling sensitive documents, we'd love to hear how we can help you protect data more effectively.
Share your feedback, and help us to make our platform better! 🤗
