I’m thrilled to introduce Formatr to the Product Hunt community! Formatr is an AI-powered tool designed to make academic writing easier and more efficient by tackling the time-consuming and tedious tasks of document formatting. For university students, Formatr helps with everything from tracking assignment deadlines, adjusting formatting basics, finding and fixing citation errors to checking for inclusive language. For academics, Formatr streamlines the submission of scientific articles targeted to the user’s journal of choice, saving time and overcoming demotivation. The idea for this app came from years of working in academia and countless conversations with students and colleagues. Everyone shared the same frustrations: formatting documents to meet specific requirements, keeping up with deadlines, and making sense of complex citation rules. Traditionally, these services are provided by an actual person resulting in longer turnaround times and higher costs. It became clear that there was a real need for a smarter, faster solution to these common struggles. For years, the technology wasn’t quite there but now, with the explosion in AI applications, we’ve been able to create something that truly works. We’re launching Formatr here on Product Hunt because we value this community’s feedback and insights. We offer free trials for both student and academic versions of the app, so you can try it out, explore its features, and let us know what you think. We’re excited to see how it can help students, researchers, and academics manage their workloads and achieve their goals more effectively. Let us know your thoughts—we can’t wait to hear from you!
