    Pros:

    Makes you a better writer

    Cons:

    You still have to write

I was one of the first people to join #200wad & I loved it. Had to stop writing due to festivals but will come back again. I only have ~10 posts but still I feel like it has made me a better writer already. Basile is building it in public & loved the way it has shapen up. Keep going Baz ✍️

    Pros:

Great community. Simple interface. You write and actually improve..

    Cons:

    Nooooo.

    Are you a bad writer?

You aren't until you prove it to this community. If you write 200 words a day for one year and your writing skill doesn't improve — maybe you are not a very good writer. But until then — you can't say that you are bad or good at it.

And if you really want it, I'm sure this platform could help you become a better writer — just be consistent and keep writing and learning!

    Practice. Every. Day.

    Pros:

    1. Writing Improvement

    2. Read a lot of articles from other writers

    3. Brainstorming of what to write daily

    4. Its is just 200 words a day!

    Cons:

Have to write everyday, which indirectly converts to a personal advantage

I have been writing on this platform since it was born and from experience of using it, you have nothing to lose other than taking a short time a day to brainstorm of what to write and to write 200 words.

    Pros:

Streaks for motivation. 200words is a low barrier. Baz is super committed to it too. Requested features added within the same day!

    Cons:

    Not much.

I'd been using it for 1 month now and had never written so much within such a short period. 200 words per day is a surprisingly low barrier. I often start thinking I won't make it to 200 words but before I know it, it's past 300 words already. It's like the motivation hack where you do 1 rep in your workout. Streaks were super helpful in nudging me to keep at it. Love the minimalist, distraction-free interface for writing. Best part is getting inspiration for writing from others in the community! We borrow ideas, formats, and questions that lead us to writing our own piece. The community is probably the most exciting and promising part of the product.

  • Pros:

Fantastical way to create a habit of writing. Great community of writers!

    Cons:

I don't understand what this word Cons means.

It's the greatest platform that teaches someone, lazy like me to wake up in the morning and write something. 200 words a day. Plus if you are a non-native English speaker or whatever language you are planning on mastering, it's the perfect platform to write every day and to become better!

You have to give it a try!

    Pros:

cool platform, maker himself uses it

    Cons:

    so much spam

The idea is kinda cool, but it is so littered with MLM spam. Someone is trying to sell Pure Romance on this site... it ruins it when I have to look closely to find a community post. Where is the content moderation???

    Pros:

    Design like Medium

    Cons:

Low signal, kinda spammy, doesn't underline spelling errors

When I write I make a lot of mistakes in grammar and spelling. I feel like this should at least highlight these errors as the browser does by default, but it seems it is disabled, making writing a nightmare.

It's also low signal as it doesnt seem to have many users, and the users that are there write spam. The top articles are sex ads from Pure Romance... wtf?!

  • Pros:

Thanks to Basile, the DEV who created 200 Words A Day, I am adding"writing" to my talent stack."

    Cons:

    none

Like most people I procrastinate. This App has helped me find the discipline to write each day. The gamification feature that shows how many days your "streak" is alive has given me the extra "nudge" some days when I didn't feel like doing shit. I highly recommend it.

  • Pros:

Clean interface that makes it easy to just dive in and write and also connect with the community.

    Cons:

    None so far

This site came at the right time for me. I needed to establish a daily writing habit. Having this tool, which allows me to track my streak and publish "quick hits," has been very valuable.

    Pros:

    Easy, clean, inspiring

    Cons:

Thought I was stuck in a different time zone. Ah well, I guess I should've looked in the settings sooner.

What's there to say? If you thought Microsoft's basic Notepad was simple, then you've never used @200WordsADay. This is the best interface I have ever seen for a word "processor." I love having the ability to give each post tags. I didn't expect it, but I love that everyone can and does see me posts. The comments are all helpful and thoughtful. We are all there for similar reasons and looking for a positive experience.

I love to support @Makers @Entrepreneurs @SmallBiz, so I upgraded to the Patron account today. I'm not sure what it changes for me, but that's just because I didn't pay attention. I know the site showed the differences.

    Pros:

    Okay UI.

    Cons:

    spammy design, bad usage.

There is no check on the emails and the content we write on the page, looks a lot like a spam page and complete waste of time.
