We made a move to @Linear at Product Hunt within the past 6 months. Curious if other startups using @Linear have adopted it company wide. Or is it primarily used by the EPD team and the rest of the company uses different PM tools? And if so, how is it working?
We were previously on @Asana . I like to say I am tool-agnostic, and can adapt our company processes to whatever tool the team will use, but with many project management tools, I had my love/hate relationship with Asana. @Notion works well as our homebase for company and project documentation, brainstorming, etc. and can even work for simple task/project management (I love their inline databases). But if you're looking for more robust tools, I haven't seen Notion up to the task. I have also tried@Trello , @Todoist , @Basecamp , @ClickUp etc at other companies.
Diffs, Linear’s code review feature, is now on iOS and Android. You can approve changes, reply to threads and send work back to coding agents from your phone.
Linear built Diffs internally because code review had become a bottleneck for its own team, and it’s now their default way to review. The review sits next to the issue, feedback or bug report that started the work, so the idea, the review and the approval all stay in one app.
What’s in the mobile version:
Guided Reviews break a pull request into sections, starting with what the change does and why, so a big pull request is manageable one section at a time on a phone
Review requests, approvals and new comments show on your home screen and in Linear Inbox
Preview links open from the diff, so you can test mobile changes on an actual phone
Review state syncs between phone and desktop, so files you’ve viewed on one show as viewed on the other
You can follow and reply to review threads from teammates and coding agents, and send a fix back to an agent from the same review
One example from Linear, Android lead sends ideas to a coding agent on walks, reviews the resulting pull request on his phone, sends Codex review findings back to the agent, and has a teammate approve it.
To use it, you need the latest Linear app. If your workspace doesn’t use Diffs yet, an admin needs to upgrade Linear’s GitHub integration for code access, and then you check your review inbox.
Good fit if your team reviews code in Linear and works with coding agents, and you want to keep reviews moving when you’re away from your desk.
