Keep your notes, files and tasks in one Library on your Windows PC. The Librarian, an AI that runs on your own computer, answers from your own files and shows the sources it read. Unplug your router: it still works.

Hi Product Hunt. I make Ink & Key. We're a very small company, and the support department is the CEO.
We built it to get our own lives organized, and because we wanted an AI for the paperwork you'd never upload to ChatGPT or Claude. Ink & Key puts notes, files and tasks in one Library, in a folder on your own disk, and its AI, the Librarian, runs on your own computer. You ask "when does the lease end?" and it answers from the lease PDF and shows you the passage it read.
The claim I care most about is one you can check yourself: unplug your router and it still works. A few things do use the internet, and you start each one: the model download, updates, the web clipper. They all go through one door in the code, and every build fails if anything else tries to open its own.
What it isn't, so nobody's surprised: it's Windows only (Mac, Linux and a phone app come in 2027). The AI reads your Library, not the news. It's faster with a graphics card, and still works without one, more slowly. It's $60 a year, half that for the first year at launch, and any charge can be refunded within 14 days.
I'd love to hear what you'd want it to do next, and anything that confuses you on the site. I'm here all day.
