hey Product Hunt, I'm Kai, solo builder based in Hanoi. TokenNations started from a smaller idea: there's already a tool called viberank.app that ranks individual builders by AI coding token usage, and I liked the concept but felt like most builders without a big following would never actually show up on something like that. So I flipped it to countries instead, now even someone with zero followers can put their country on the board just by shipping and syncing their usage. Right now the board is small but real. France is #1 with about 75M tokens from a single builder, USA passed Belgium for #2 a few days ago, and I'm repping Kyrgyzstan myself, sitting around 12M and trailing Belgium by just 2.4M for #3. Canada and Thailand round out the six countries active so far, out of 250 total, so 244 are still wide open if anyone wants to claim theirs. Built entirely with Claude Code. The CLI runs locally and just reads your existing Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex usage logs, nothing about your actual code or prompts ever leaves your machine, only the aggregated token counts get synced. One honest caveat: there's no real anti-gaming layer yet, just a clamp to stop obviously fake numbers. It's an honor system board for now, real anomaly detection is on the roadmap, but I'd rather say that upfront than pretend it's solved.
