I built CareerPocket AI from a problem I experienced personally during the job search. For many roles, a generic resume and cover letter simply aren’t enough. But tailoring both for every application means repeatedly going back to your experience, understanding the job, deciding what to emphasize, rewriting documents, and keeping yet another version. Do that across many applications and it becomes exhausting. You can spend hours preparing an application, get rejected, and then start the whole process again. After a while, it can even become difficult to remember exactly which resume and cover letter you sent to which company. I wanted to change that workflow. CareerPocket AI lets me capture a job, assess my fit, generate tailored application documents from my actual career information, and keep the application and its document versions together. What used to take me hours can now be done in minutes, while keeping the whole job search much more organized. The bigger idea isn’t simply to generate more resumes. It’s to give job seekers their time back. I’d rather see people spend those hours networking, preparing for interviews, learning new skills, or simply taking a break from what can be a very demoralizing process. I built CareerPocket AI for myself, and I’m now making it available in the hope that it can give other job seekers the same productivity and organization. What part of job searching consumes the most time for you?

One of the things that surprised me during my own job search was how much time was spent not actually finding opportunities, but preparing each application.

Reading the job description, deciding whether the role is a good fit, tailoring the resume, writing a cover letter, keeping different versions organized, and then tracking what was sent to each company can easily turn every application into hours of work.

After doing this repeatedly, I found the administrative side of job searching almost as exhausting as the rejections themselves.

That experience eventually led me to build CareerPocket AI, which I m launching here tomorrow.
