GhostReply auto-sends iMessage replies from your Mac in your style. Choose one person or all one-to-one chats, then close the Terminal process whenever you want it off. It reads history and stores its profile locally. Relevant context goes directly from your Mac to Groq with your API key, not through GhostReply servers. Group chats are skipped. Try 10 replies free, then pay $4.99 once. No subscription.
GhostReply is an AI auto-replier for iMessage that runs in Terminal on your Mac. It learns how you text each person, watches only the conversations you choose, and replies in your style. This release adds hosted AI, so there is no API key to create. Try 10 replies free, then pay $4.99 once.
Hey Product Hunt,
I built GhostReply because I wanted to know if an AI could handle the small iMessage replies that interrupt a day without sounding like a generic assistant.
GhostReply runs in Terminal on macOS. During setup, it reads your message history locally to learn how you text each person. You choose the contacts and reply mode, then it watches for new messages and writes responses in your style. If you reply manually, GhostReply gets out of the way.
The biggest change in this release is hosted AI. The earlier version asked users to bring an AI API key. Now you can install it with one command, try 10 replies free, and start without creating any external AI account.
I kept it intentionally small: one Mac, one Terminal app, iMessage, and no subscription. I would love feedback on where it feels useful, strange, or too far.
