Ten months ago you made Creatium Studio #2 Product of the Day. Since then it's been used by learning and development teams throughout the industry. But, what if you just want to learn skills as an individual?

Coaching has been known to be the best way to upskill, and it has been that way for centuries. However, great coaching has always carried a steep price tag. Videos and courses are fine for knowing a thing, but there’s still a gap between knowing it and doing it when it actually matters. Barely anything in the field touches that…. And I think that’s where the role play and talking to a coach in realtime shine… As someone super early in my career, interviewing is the obvious 🫠, you prep for hours, you feel ready and then someone says “tell me about yourself” and you go blank, all that was needed to solve was practice practice practice stacked a 1000x over and over. As a kid, I loved video games that pulled you into a world, told a great story, and somehow taught you something along the way. So getting the chance to design a learning experience with that same sense of immersion was incredibly exciting.

I’m especially proud of the “Lyceum” world. Having Aristotle teach you concepts, respond conversationally in real time, and adapt to the context of your journey makes the experience feel genuinely new and alive.

This has been one of my favorite things to work on, and I’m really proud of the team, and how it’s come together. Excited to hear what you all think, learn from the feedback, and keep making it better. ✨

The detail I like is that it starts by asking you things instead of handing you a curriculum. Most tools decide what you need before they know anything about you, and you end up sitting through the parts you already knew. Starting from your actual goal and working backwards is a much better shape for this.

@deepika_ks1 Thank you Deepika! You have spotted exactly how it works. The coach learns where you are by talking to you and from the tools you already work in, and only then builds the sessions. So nothing starts at chapter one unless you actually need chapter one.

Never thought I'd live to see Aristotle revived, albeit in AI coach form! Online learning has quickly become a chaotic world of repetitive and monotonous PPTs and long PDFs that no one really reads. An AI coach like this, which actually helps learners practice and apply what they've learned, seems like just the thing to revolutionize the edtech space (even if you did have to go back to the Lyceum to do it!). Congrats @drcreatium @maria_wall_ball @huntingforunicorns @ridhwikvinod, and everyone else on the team!

Hi Product Hunt. Maria here, one of the makers for Creatium Coach, which launches tomorrow!

I want to say something that has nothing to do with features.

I went to one of those liberal arts schools where discussing ancient philosophic texts in the middle of a party was a normal thing.
If you went to a school like that too, you know the routine.
Someone at a family dinner asks what you're going to do with that, then answers their own question with a joke about coffee shops. I heard it enough times that I started making the joke first, just to get ahead of it.

I spent a lot of that degree with Aristotle, and specifically with the Nicomachean Ethics. His argument, roughly, is that you don't get good at something by knowing about it. You get good at it by doing it, badly, over and over, with someone next to you who can tell you when you're doing it wrong.
Excellence isn't a fact you acquire. It's a habit you build.
