Then the new wave of AI testing tools shows up, and the deal is brutal: to get the AI features, you have to leave behind — or delete — everything you've built, pay thousands of dollars, and start from scratch on their platform.
And even after all that, the feeling doesn't go away: this still isn't in my control. You can't implement things your own way. You're locked to their platform. And if you ever want to leave?
