YoAmigo wraps the command line coding agents you already use, like Claude Code, Codex, and Antigravity CLI, in a local-first desktop app that handles the boilerplate: databases, payments, and auth. You own the code, no AI credits to buy. You run your own agents on the AI subscription you already pay for. Built for founders who want the best tools without the markup.

congrats on the launch! The permissions demo is what got me. I've seen vibe-coded apps where a query quietly returns every user's notes because the LLM skipped a check somewhere, and it just sits in prod until someone stumbles onto data that isn't theirs. Defining the policy once and running it on every query actually fixes that. keys in a vault instead of a local .env is a good call too. Gonna try it out this weekend.
@baocinย Thanks Michael! My goal is to make it easy for the AI to create secure code rather than trusting the AI to do it right on its own. And yes, the secrets are only ever in memory, never stored on your computer.

Interesting...
But wouldn't I already have to pay for agents such as Claude Code to use YoAmigo?
Congrats on the launch tho!
@peterz_shuย Yeah, it takes most of the pain out of setting up a new app. And since you bring your own AI subscription, it works out cheaper than builders that charge per credit. It's not really built for developers. It's more for people who want a clean, all in one package, already use Claude Code (or another CLI tool, or have one through work), and just want to build with the subscription they're already paying for.
It is for a select group of people, who want a vibe coding environment, have a paid chatgpt or anthropic account already, want to own their code, have more permissions and security protections, be able to launch a lot of separate applications and manage them all. Good for new founders wanting to control their websites or semi-technical people who want to start software service agencies. I handle large and small assets, auth, authz, just make it easy to have a full stack application. It is not meant for developers as devs have millions of great tools, but semi-technical vibe coders have only a few different options right now and they are all on a credit buying system which has a poor incentive structure which I talk about here: https://www.yoamigo.com/blog/why-i-built-yoamigo
However, I am a dev and if I were starting a consulting project I'd use YoAmigo.
Great work Dominic! I've been obsessed recently with lots of different ideas for products that let me take my coding agent with me, rather than having a different (worse) one forced on me on every app I use.
The feature list for this is crazy, this thing seems to do everything! ๐
