Every AI chat tool makes you copy-paste the page into it. WriterPi reads the page first — Gmail email, Reddit thread, Medium article, your CRM, whatever you're on — then helps you chat, draft replies, summarize, or write right in the tab you're already in. No more tab-switching. 8 writing tones including a real Gen Z one. 3 themes. 10 free messages without an account, 25/month free after signup, Plans Starts From 1$. Built solo.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Sane — solo founder of WriterPi.
For two years I did this dumb dance with ChatGPT 🤡: open tab, copy the page, paste, ask, copy the answer, paste back. Five context switches per question. ~8 hours a week, gone.
One day ChatGPT hallucinated half a Reddit thread I was reading — because it can't see my tab. That's when it clicked: nobody had fixed the most basic thing about using AI in a browser.
So I spent few months building WriterPi 🛠️
It lives inside the page. Reads what you're actually reading — Gmail, Reddit, Medium, the article you're stuck on, your client's brief — and helps you in place. No tab-switching. No copy-paste.
What's different:
🧠 Reads the page first — structure, content, full context
✍️ 8 writing tones, including a real Gen Z one (not the cringe AI version)
🎨 3 themes, dark by default
🔀 Smart routing — picks the right model for the job
🆓 10 free messages with no signup. 25/month after a quick signup
💸 Paid plans start at just $1 — and yeah, worth every cent
Built solo from India 🇮🇳. Zero funding. Just me and a lot of caffeine ☕
I'll be here all day — would love your honest feedback, especially what you wish it did that it doesn't yet. I read every comment 🙏

The tab switching grind is so real! glad someone finally fixed it. Also respect the solo + bootstrapped from India angle. Does it work on paywalled pages or only what's actually rendered in the browser?
@lakshya_singh
Thanks 🙏
Works on whatever your browser actually shows. If you're already subscribed and the article is loaded for you, yes it reads it. If the page is locked and only the preview is showing, that's all it sees — no bypass tricks.
Feel free to give it a spin!
