I built Nudge because I couldn't find anything that actually helped me start tasks — not manage them, just START them. As someone with ADHD, I know that frozen feeling all too well. Nudge uses AI to meet you where you are emotionally, break tasks into micro-steps, and give you a gentle push when your brain won't cooperate. One person built this. No team, no funding — just lived experience.

@amer_khalil I like that you're focusing on task initiation rather than task management—those are often treated as the same problem when they're not. How does Nudge adapt when someone repeatedly ignores or struggles with the suggested micro-steps, and what have you learned from real users about what actually gets them moving?
@nicole_hynek Thank you so much — and you are absolutely right as to why I built this App. Task initiation and task management are completely different problems and I realized that almost every app treats them the same way.
Here is my honest answer on the micro-steps — right now Nudge adapts through the 'mood check-in' at the start. If someone is consistently struggling, the AI Coach is there to break things down even further or just talk through the resistance.
What I've learned so far, and I am speaking from personal experience, is that most people don't need more structure — they need permission to start small without feeling like they're failing. Even completing one tiny step changes the momentum. For me personally that is the main struggle...even before I take the first step, in my mind I have already completed the task and already moving on to the next one.
This is still early and that's exactly the kind of feedback I'm building around. Would love to know — what does that moment of resistance look like for you personally?
