Most calorie apps show you what you ate against a static daily limit. That tells you nothing about whether you're actually losing weight. CaloNet shows net calories - consumed minus burned, updated live throughout the day. The entire app turns green when you're in deficit, red when you're not. One glance and you know. No guessing. No math. Just the answer. Check out my video below where I explain what the app does in detail!

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built CaloNet because I was frustrated with every calorie app I tried. They all showed me what I ate but never whether I was actually losing weight that day.
The number that determines whether you lose weight isn't calories eaten. It's calories eaten minus calories burned. That difference is your net calories and that's what matters. But no app I found made that the center of the experience.
I actually discovered the concept buried deep in another app as a minor feature. It was raw and unfinished, but I immediately thought that this should be the whole point. So I built it properly.
What took months to get right was making it work without a wearable. If you have an Apple Watch or Oura or Garmin, great! We sync real burn data via Apple Health. If you don't, we estimate your burn from your metabolic profile and update it automatically when real data arrives. Getting that algorithm accurate enough to actually trust took most of the development time.
The thing I didn't expect was the psychological effect of the color system. When you open the app mid-afternoon and you're 200 calories from your goal, something clicks. You don't want to eat that snack. You want to stay green. It creates this weird positive pressure that static limit apps never gave me.
I built this for myself first. I genuinely didn't think other people would want it. Seeing people actually use it has been the best part.
