DailyP is a voice-first protein tracker for people who hate food logging. No barcode scanning. No calorie counting. No 47-field meal entries. Just say what you ate, and DailyP tells you how much protein you got. One screen. One number. Done. Built for people who know they should eat more protein but refuse to spend 10 minutes logging every meal. Free on iOS.

Hey PH! I built DailyP because I was tired of overcomplicating protein tracking.
Every app on the market wants to track everything: calories, macros, micronutrients, water intake, steps, etc. I just wanted to know: did I hit my protein today?
So I built the simplest possible version. You open the app, say what you ate (e.g., "4 oz. chicken breast and a cup of rice"), and it logs the protein. That's the entire app. One screen. One number. About 30 seconds a day.
A few things that might be interesting to this community: I have zero coding background. I'm a finance guy by day. The entire app was built with AI assistance. Claude for the code, Claude API for the food parsing backend.
The AI is surprisingly good at estimating protein from natural language. Not gram-perfect, but close enough to be useful, and way better than the alternative, which for most people is tracking nothing at all.
Would love your feedback. What would make you actually stick with a protein tracker?
