Hey everyone 👋 I’m Dinesh, a full-stack developer, and I built FruiQ AI to tackle a simple but real problem — we often can’t tell if fruits and vegetables are actually safe to consume just by looking at them. Most existing solutions are either manual or limited to basic freshness detection. I wanted to go a step further by using computer vision to analyze images and provide insights on freshness, spoilage, and possible chemical treatment. This project started as an experiment but evolved into a full SaaS application with a focus on real-world usability. One of the biggest challenges was dealing with inconsistent datasets and making the model work on real-life images instead of controlled ones.
