This is genuinely useful. NotebookLM becomes a lot harder to manage once the number of notebooks starts growing, so adding folders, search, and better organization feels like a very natural extension.
Curious, was folders the biggest pain point from users, or did search and sync come up just as often?

Folders were definitely the most requested feature — almost everyone wanted a better way to organize things as their notebooks grew.
At the same time, I started hearing from users who work across multiple devices (like desktop and laptop, or home and on the go) that syncing would be really helpful.
I also felt that myself — I often switch between my MacBook and Mac Studio, and wanted everything to stay in sync.
So I decided to implement it, thinking it would make the overall experience much smoother.
Curious — how are you currently managing things?

I built this because managing sources in NotebookLM quickly became messy as I used it more.
Bookshelf adds folders, search, and structure — making research workflows much easier.
Fun fact: I'm actually not a professional engineer. I built this using AI tools and a lot of trial and error.
