Hey Product Hunters, thanks for checking our launch ❤️
I’m Martyn, one of the founders of Akievo.
Akievo actually started around the kitchen table. My brother, his wife, and I are constantly coming up with ideas: business ideas, life plans, projects we'd love to start. The problem wasn’t ambition. It wasn’t motivation.
The problem:
We've got an idea. We just didn’t know where to start, or how to turn it into a plan, something structured and executable.
We tried Kanban tools like Trello. But staring at an empty board still doesn't help. You still have to figure out where to start, decide the phases, the tasks, the order, the milestones. We used AI tools like ChatGPT too. They’d give us detailed plans, sometimes brilliant ones, but they came back as long text responses. Turning that into a real, structured, usable plan was still manual work and difficult to track in the long term.
So we built the tool we wished existed.
The solution:
Akievo takes a goal, a wedding, a business idea, a move abroad, a financial plan, and instantly turns it into a structured, ready-to-use board with phases, tasks, and milestones.
Not advice.
Not just ideas.
An actual plan you can start executing immediately.
Underneath it is the same principle I’ve used to ship products: structured project management is what turns ideas into outcomes. Akievo just makes that accessible to people who aren’t project managers.
What started as something for the three of us has become a small family-built product designed to close the gap between “I want to do this” and “I’m making real progress.”
We’re building Akievo in public, so your feedback really matters.
We’d love for you to create your first board in Akievo (link here: https://akievo.com) and tell us:
What’s a life goal or project you haven’t yet started because you don’t have a clear plan?
How did it feel to have a plan built for you? Did the plan reflect your goal?
How could we make it better? What improvements are needed to make this work for you?
The more we understand about what people are trying to achieve, the greater the improvements we can make to Akievo and how it structures plans going forward.
Drop your thoughts below 👇 I’m here in the comments and happy to answer anything.
The UI is really clean! I'm trying to figure out the MCP integration since most of the time I usually just tell Claude Code to install the mcp server via CLI haha does it work the same way?
@casfhir Thanks so much, Joy! Really appreciate that 🙏
Great question — yes, it works with Claude! Akievo's MCP server uses the Streamable HTTP transport, so you can add it to Claude's config. Here's what you'd add to your Claude MCP settings:
It supports OAuth authentication, so Claude will handle the login flow automatically when you first connect — no API keys to manually copy around.
Alternatively, if you prefer API key auth (e.g. for headless/CLI setups), you can generate one from your Account → API Keys tab, and pass it as a Bearer token:
Once connected, Claude gets access to 29 tools — creating boards, managing cards, checklists, dependencies, labels, assignees, the works. So you can literally tell Claude "plan out my project launch" and it'll build a full board for you.
@martyn_johnson Thanks! Cause I already have a manual to do list that I basically want to import via mcp. I hit an error on the OAuth path btw. It said 'SDK auth failed: Protected resource'
I have successfully connected via the API path tho. Thanks!
@casfhir Glad you got it connected, I'll take a look at the SDK auth issue. All feedback is appreciated!
I’ve tried a lot of planning tools and usually end up having to structure everything myself anyway.
When Akievo generates a plan, is it more like a high-level outline, or something you could actually execute on straight away?
@michaela_denton
Hi Michaela - great question and this is exactly what we wanted to fix!
The plans aren't just outlines, they're built to be immediately actionable.
When you input a goal, Akievo breaks it down into structured tasks, sequences them logically and gives you something that you can start working through right away.
The idea is that you shouldn't have to try and translate ideas into execution, that step is already done for you!
@dan_johnson7 Ok sounds perfect. Can’t wait to give it a go in that case. That’s for the speedy response 😊
Congrats on the launch! I previously built a marketing plan from a template on trello, what's the difference with this?
@charlie_atkinson Thanks for the kind words! Great question! if you've used Trello templates before, you'll feel right at home since Akievo can actually import your Trello boards directly.
Here's what makes it different though:
Instead of starting from a static template and figuring out the tasks yourself, you tell Akievo your goal (e.g. "launch a product on Product Hunt") and the AI asks you clarifying questions, then generates a fully structured board with lists, cards, priorities, and due dates tailored to your specific situation.
More views, all free! Beyond Kanban, you get Table, Calendar, Timeline/Gantt, Eisenhower Matrix, Dependencies Graph, and a Board Dashboard. On Trello, most of those require paid Power-Ups.
Once your board is set up, the AI copilot can help you reprioritize tasks, break down cards, suggest next steps, and keep things on track as your plan evolves.
Dependencies & critical path: You can map out which tasks block others and visualize the critical path, which is really useful for marketing plans where timing matters.
So think of it less as "pick a template and fill it in" and more as "describe what you're trying to achieve and get a smart, actionable plan back in seconds", then iterate on it with AI help as you go.

Great idea: turning goals into an actual executable board instead of just text !! the gap between ideas and structured actions is real. how customizable the generated phases are once the board is created?
This is amazing. Good luck. Curious, what do you use Resend for?
@binoy_perera1 Hi Binoy, thanks for asking, we use resend for all our transactional email, like notifications, welcome emails, password resets, etc. I would highly recommend them!
