Kindly Robotics

Open robotics platform: charity, enterprise, research

Kindly is three things in one: FoodforThought – The GitHub of Robotics. Upload datasets, train skills, share models. Open source. KindlyforUs – A 501(c)(3) charity deploying robots to build houses, clean communities, and respond to disasters. Every mission generates real-world training data. KindlyforYou – Enterprise fleet management and robotics solutions. The twist? Our charity work creates unique training data that makes our AI better, a virtuous cycle where doing good = better robots.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 The problem we kept seeing: robotics is fragmented. Companies cobble together ROS, custom cloud infra, and expensive ML engineers. Meanwhile, skills can't transfer across robot hardware—every new robot starts from scratch. We built Kindly because we believe the robotics industry needs its "Android/App Store moment." The secret sauce is our data flywheel: 1. KindlyforUs deploys robots for social good (disaster relief, trash cleanup, housing construction) 2. Those missions generate unique real-world data in underserved environments 3. That data trains better open-source models on FoodforThought 4. Better models make our enterprise product more valuable 5. Revenue funds more social deployments We're currently running cleanup operations, open-sourcing all mission data, and building out the skill repository. The long-term vision? Download a "pick-up object" skill from the cloud and have ANY robot learn it instantly—like installing an app. Would love your feedback! What robotics problems are you facing? What features would make this useful for you? -Taylor & the Kindly team
