Hi Product Hunt! Taskr started as a passion project. When I started using Claude Code and Cursor for building apps, I quickly realized my biggest problem with agentic coding was persistent context—each time I switched to a new chat, I had to re-explain everything. Then I discovered using `.cursorrules` and task markdown files, which was a game changer for me. The workflow improved dramatically, but other problem surfaced. Problems such as agents forgetting to update task files, git conflicts on every task update when switching between laptop and desktop, repository clutter from task markdowns mixed with code, agents modifying tasks randomly instead of completing them, and task files growing so unwieldy that agents lost track of where they were. That's why I built Taskr. Instead of files, tasks and notes live in a cloud database.
