I'm Sid, and I built wayr.today as a weekend project to learn agentic AI—but it turned into something I'm using daily and wanted to share.
I wanted to understand how AI agents work together, so I built a multi-agent system to run a news site which is curating news from tech websites like TechCrunch, Verge, etc. While building and testing it, I realized most tech news is already a pipeline: press releases become TechCrunch/Verge articles, which become everyone else's articles. If tech news is derivative by nature, why not let AI run that pipeline transparently?
Current stats:
- 1000+ articles published autonomously
- 15-25 new stories daily
- Auto posted on LinkedIn
- 991 LinkedIn impressions, 59 reactions (organic)
- Sources: TechCrunch, The Verge, and expanding
What's challenging:
- Deduplication (same story, 10 different angles)
- Citation accuracy (requires multiple LLM validation passes)
- Distinguishing news from opinions/deals/sponsored content
- Distribution: Most people consume news from social media
What I'm figuring out:
- Distribution (the agents work, but how do people discover the content?)
- Quality control at scale (how to maintain accuracy as we add sources?)
