Zapp Note is a privacy focussed lightning-fast note taking app to capture your thoughts before it leaves your mind.
No internet access & no account is needed. It stays silently in your system tray. The moment you press the hotkey (Win + Alt + O), a popup window will appear, in under 20ms.
It is not a replacement to Notion or Obsidian. Instead, it's like a second brain, where you can dump your ideas and thoughts from your brain and later move to your favourite note taking app whenever you want.

Writing down important information or quick thoughts or taking notes during meeting was always a pain point for me. Not because there are no tools, but the friction is too high. Some need internet connection, some needs to load all features, they take a few seconds to open up and ready.
That's why I built Zapp Note. If you have a sudden idea or a thought or you want to take notes during meeting without disturbing all those ram-eating meeting apps, simply press the hotkey Win + Alt + O and a simple popup will appear, on top of everything. You can either dock it during a meeting or type your thoughts and press Esc to close it. Notes are being saved to a local sqlite database during every keystroke. Absolutely zero friction.
The app sits silently in your system tray. And the app size is around 8 MB only (Since it is being installed from store, Microsoft may take additional 5-10 MB to manage it).
It is Free with an optional Pro add on ($29 one-time). License is managed via Microsoft Store. We don't maintain any backend for it. Your notes are yours.
