WX 1.1 is OUT
WX 1.1 is out
Quick update for anyone who caught the launch. WX is a synth built around randomization, you hit a button, it generates a patch, and the interface shows you what's happening as a weather radar display. It was built for people who want interesting sounds without learning synthesis first.
Here's what's new:
It runs on Mac now. This was the number one request after launch. Native build for both Apple Silicon and Intel machines.
Filter Envelope. Sounds can now change shape over time instead of staying flat, this is the difference between a note that just sits there and one that opens up or fades in.
LFO. A movement generator you can point at any control. It makes things wobble, pulse or drift on their own, and you can watch it move on the radar.
Randomization got smarter. It used to roll every setting independently, which meant a lot of unusable results. Now the randomizer coordinates the new LFO and envelope together, so what comes out is more likely to be something you'd actually keep.
Stability. Fixed the audio dropouts and clicks people were running into, plus a few crashes.

@metehan_sipahi i can’t believe it! I’ve been eagerly anticipating the Mac build ever since you first announced it. I just downloaded the AU version on my M2, and it’s running like a dream so far. Those smarter rolls are a game changer too within just a few clicks, I created an amazing moving pad without any of that annoying harsh noise peak. Thanks a ton for the free update!
Mac support alone is huge news for a lot of us who skipped the launch for that reason. Curious how the LFO feels in practice does it stay musical when you push it fast or does it turn chaotic quickly?
The radar visualization was already a fun hook but pairing it with actual sound shaping tools like the filter envelope makes WX feel less like a toy and more like something you would keep open daily.
I love how coordinating the LFO and envelope during the random roll is such a clever idea. One of my main frustrations with random patch generators is having to click through countless options just to stumble upon a single sound that works. but with the LFO movement displayed on the radar UI, it’s so much simpler to fine-tune things once it starts rolling.
thank you for fixing all these points
