WPN App Directory is a new way for apps to get discovered. Instead of relying on traditional listings, apps are recommended inside real news articles using relevance algorithms. This gives founders meaningful visibility from readers, not just tech insiders. The directory is part of the World Pulse Now newsroom, which tracks stories, summarizes the news, and produces a daily podcast. Submissions are free and discovery is organic.

I built this because I kept running into the same problem with my own apps: getting real visibility from actual users, not just tech circles. Traditional directories weren’t sending meaningful traffic, and social posts disappeared instantly. At the same time, our newsroom was growing fast, and readers were already engaging deeply with stories. That’s when the idea clicked. If a user is reading an article about a topic, the right app recommendation at the right moment feels natural, not forced. So I started experimenting with relevance algorithms to match apps to articles.
