What’s the hardest part of saving a modern website locally?
by•
Have you ever tried to save a website for offline browsing or use it as a reference, only to find that the layout broke, styles were missing, or interactive pages stopped working?
That frustration is one of the reasons I built WebCopier. It uses a real browser to capture websites and save them as local, browsable projects on your Windows PC.
I’m launching WebCopier on Product Hunt tomorrow, and I’d love to hear from developers, designers, and anyone who works with websites.
What usually goes wrong when you try to save a website locally? And what would your ideal website capture tool need to do?
Honest feedback is welcome. 👇
